There’s been long time since I wrote on the blog, so I will start a new series of posts.
Yesterday I was stretching in the gym, when a coach and a boy of my generation came in. The coach was upset as the player was not giving the best game during practice hours, and he was reproaching to the boy, that he was laughig after the practice with some friends. He thought that the problem was, having fun after practice. The coach was explaining in a very non-professional way, that he should stay focused only on tennis all day long, and that the boy should forget everything about friends, families and other problems, in order to remain concentrated. While stretching and listening, I was thinking that he was maybe right… but is anyone who really can achieve this stage. We are all human beings, and we were not born in order to live on an island, alone, ignoring people around us. If anyone wants to become a real player, i think this can be one way, or at least one of the ways to do that.
After listening to that discussion, i went home, where I watched some Australian Open matches, and i realised that i hate watching women’s tennis or at least I like to watch more men’s tennis. The game is more spectacular, they are not playing plain, and almost every moment there will come an amazing ball.
wish you all the best,
Iani
