Bogdan close for her first pro event title

Elena Bogdan played again for the second year in a row the final in $10000 Bucharest 2009, the last one being lost against Simona Halep.

In her way through the final Elena passed by Simona Iulia Matei in the first round with 61, 64, in the second round by Mihaela Buzarnescu with 76(4), 63, in the quarterfinals by Alice-Andrada Radu wih 61, 62 and in the semifinal by Tanya Germanlieva with 26, 63, 76(6).

In the final her opponent was Verdiana Verardi from Italy, the seed number 4, Elena losing the encounter in three sets: 63, 57, 16.
