Bogdan shines at Masters Romania

Elena Bogdan played in National Tennis Championship - Masters Romania invited by the organizers and Romanian Tennis Federation in the first place, but infirmed and after that confirmed by Ruxandra Dragomir in the last moment, an invitation made for  "the best romanian junior player in 2008".

Singles winner of the Uruguay Bowl - grade II ITF &  Gerdau Open - grade II ITF & European Junior Championships, singles finalist in Roland Garros, doubles finalist in Australian Open , singles quarterfinalist in US Open, team player of the both ITF Grand Slam Development Fund Actions - ITF Teams for Europe and North America,  Elena managed to keep up the rithm in Masters Romania too, a national event in which the best romanian players ranked in the WTA rankings participated.

Drew by Victor Hanescu in the silver group alongside Agnes Szatmari, Irina Begu and Mihaela Buzarnescu, Elena showed that juniors results were  not occurrencies and after two victories and one defeat she passed in the semifinal of the competition from the second position of the group.

According to the tournament rules Elena played in this stage against the number one player classified in the other group, respective Monica Niculescu, the top seed of the competition and one of the best romanian female players. After a spectacular match Elena recognized the defeat and finishes the year in an outstanding manner.
