Cadar goes two-times finalist in Chisinau

Elena Cadar, one of the youngest and talented players of our tennis team managed to play the singles and doubles finals in an under 16 years ETA event held in Chisinau by the Moldova Tennis Federation.

One outstanding week Elena had these days reaching the latest stages in an international juniors tennis event, therefore at the beginning her status indicated to be the last player accepted on the main draw list.

In the singles draw Elena managed to win every match without losing a set, but admitting in the end that her opponent from the final was better. Anastasia Stepu from Moldova won the title defeating Elena with 63, 62.

Alongside Ionescu Simona, also from Romania, Elena repeated the performance and fought for the doubles title, losing after a dramatical match in the third set supertiebreak.
