Cadar moves on 3rd Tennis Europe U16 rankings

Elena Cadar managed to classify on the 3rd Tennis Europe Under 16 rankings due to the good results obtained in the European events in the last period of time.

Member of the Romanian Tennis Federation Team which participated in few of the toughest European tournaments, Elena qualified in the final of the grade 1 event "Citta di Montecatini 2009"  winning round by round against Giulia Cerutti ( ITA ) with 63, 63, Isla Brock ( GER ) with  63, 63, Caroline Betancourt ( MEX ) with 63, 64, Steffi Carruthers ( SAM ) with 64, 64 and Dora Vajdic ( CRO ), seed number  3 with 62, 75. In the final Elena lost after a very hard match from Marijana Novakovic ( BIH ) with 62, 67(6), 46.

In Crema, Italy, Elena stepped up to the semifinal of the singles draw of the grade 2 event "5° Int.l Tour. 1° Memorial "T. Serina". She beat Anastasiya Halaburda ( BLR ) with 61, 64, Alice Vicini ( ITA ) with 64, 61 and Victoria Bosio ( ARG ) with  61, 64 before losing from Aliaksandra Sasnovich ( BLR ) with 67(3), 36.
