Cadar nominated Tennis Europe Junior Tour Player of the Year

Elena Cadar finished as number one the year 2009 in the Tennis Europe u16 ranking, reaching the finals of three Category 1 events, winning one (Ulm), and also picking up a title in Brno.

The Player of the Year title rewards the three best-performing European players in each age category on the Tennis Europe Junior Tour, with the #1 in each category receiving a state of the art Polar RS800 CX computerised training wrist watch, worth €400.

The accolade has a track record of predicting future greatness; many of todays top players earned early recognition with the award, including stars such as Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic, Mario Ancic, Kim Clijsters, Justine Henin and Alexandra Dulgheru.
