Final for Alecsiu in Bangladesh

Ioana Alecsiu finished the ITF Juniors grade 3 event "Rajshahi International Junior Championships 2009" held in Dhaka, Bangladesh with a final in the doubles draw. Being nominated the seed number two Ioana and her partner Demi Schuurs from Holand managed to pass round by round winning against the teams Chen/Cheng, Hong/Yea and Chen/Huang in straight sets.

In the doubles final Ioana and Demi faced the team Lee/Upapong losing the encounter with 46, 46.

In the singles draw Ioana Alecsiu was the seed number 13 and she lost  in the third round from Demi Schuurs, her doubles partner, with 16, 36.
