Iova said good bye from Gaz de France Stars

Andreea Ionela Iova lost in second round of the singles main draw of the $50000 Gaz de France Stars 2008 against the seed number 6 Christina Wheeler from Australia with 57, 36, whilst in the doubles draw Andreea Iova/Simona Halep lost in the quarterfinal against the seeds number 3 Cetkovska(CZE) / Sromova(CZE) with 46, 36.

Andreea, despite her medical problems occured during National Junors Championship managed to play three matches in qualifying rounds and although she lost in the last one she entered in the main draw due to a lucky loser position. She faced out the weather, medical problems and many others in order to win the first match and after that being so close to a quarterfinal in a big event like this.

Elena Bogdan and Alexandra Cadantu were both on the main draw of the competition which is a wonderfull thing for the young players.
