Niculescu at his first performances in the national competitions

During the week of 14 march 2010, Vlad Niculescu participated to the "Agronomia Trophy 2010" in Bucharest, a grade III national tournament accordingly to the Romanian Tennis Federation competitional schedule. In the singles main draw Vlad Niculescu started with second chance as a seeded player winning in first round in front of Razvan Boicu (TC Enache) with the score 6-3 6-3, in second round with Tudor Ionescu (Sanatatea) with 6-1 6-1 and in the third round with Andrei Vitiuc (Steaua) with 6-4 6-4.
In the semifinal Vlad faced Vlad Calin (TC Dia) and lost the encounter with 0-6 1-6, finishing the tournament on the third place.
