Olaru Raluca in the second round in US Open

US Open 2008 begun for Raluca Olaru almost one week ago with the qualifying matches. After the victory against Michell Larcher de Brito from Portugal in the last round of qualifying Raluca found out her next opponent: the romanian Edina Gallovits.

Their match was scheduled on tuesday 26 august on court 14 and after 47 minutes of play Raluca Olaru won in straight sets: 60, 62. With a total of 6 aces and 57 net points won during the match Raluca is heading with confidence in the second round where she will face the seed number 18 Dominika Cibulkova ( SVK )
