Olaru takes the throphy in Marseille

Raluca Olaru succeed in the ITF Women's Event "$100,000+H Marseille 2009" organized by Gaz de France Suez. Member of the international Team Gaz de France Suez, Raluca had a wonderful week on the French lands managing to advance round by round through the daily stages of the competition.

Raluca defeated in the first round Zuzana Ondraskova ( CZE ) with 63, 61, in the second round Silvia Soler-Espinoza ( ESP ) with 62, 62, in the quarterfinals Tatiana Garbin ( ITA ) with 64, 26, 76(3) and in the semifinal Andrea Petkovic ( GER ) with 64, 76(9).

Being the seed number 6, Raluca played a tough match in the final against Masa Zec-Peskiric ( SLO ), winning in the end the trophy with 67(4), 75, 64.

Raluca moves up to position 73 WTA after this result.
