Olimpia Cup

During the period 8 - 13 september 2008 Olimpia Bucharest organized the 4th edition of the "Cupa Olimpia", a national event for players under 12, 14, 16, 18 years old.

 

More than 120 players participated at the start of the competition, among them being worth to mention Popescu Valentin and Rosca Andreea, two of the youngest players with real potential in the future.

Olimpia Team players managed to make a good impression in all of the categories, especially Cadar Elena ( winner in the under 16 girls event ) and Dima Nicusor ( winner in the under 16 boys event ). Also, Duca Gabriela ( third place under 16 girls event ), Simion Vlad ( third place under 18 boys event ) and Alexandra Borovina are few of the players who achieved good results during this week.

"Cupa Olimpia" closed the gates for this year and forwarded to next year it's intention to move on. Olimpia Vitan offered to all participants good conditions willing to thanks to all that supported all the efforts in order to held that competion.A specially reward is dedicated to the general director Octavian Dimofte for his constant support.

We are hoping that in the future more players will come to play this tournament!
