The 2008 edition of the second Grand Slam of the year is ready to begin in Paris, almost all of the greatest players at the moment being on the lists.

In the women's draw, the romanian Raluca Olaru is going to play directly in the singles main draw. She is going to Paris after a training week in France where her medical upsets have been almost solved and altghought she lost in the first round in Strasbourg she feels confident in her game. Upholded by her coach Oni Iovanescu and her mother who is with her, Raluca hopes to reach the same performance like last year.

In the juniors event, Elena Bogdan will play also in the singles main draw after a week from Raluca's debut. Being with the ITF Team she will prepare for the Grand Slam in Charleroi ( Belgium ) at an ITF grade 1 tournament.
